More Online Math Resources

Hi again! One thing I am keeping mind for my kids, since they are pretty good readers, they will be fine even if they miss a lot of formal learning. They will catch up if needed. Those who aren’t good readers/learners may have a harder time, so helping them learn to learn & read I think is more important for those K-12 students who may be struggling.

I saw a post on Facebook being passed around, that I really liked & it really clicked with me and the above. As an online teacher, I know this situation is not conducive to quality online education, and many of the kids and of course teachers are not prepared for going online for a variety of reasons. That is okay, don’t stress. When things clear up, everyone will get caught up.

As my Mother-in-Law told me when my girls were much younger, they will grow up in spite of me, and that is true for all kids. Most ‘normal’ happy healthy kids will get through this fine. Try to help the ones that have issues.

While I am not focusing on having the girls do a lot of school work. Their teachers had sent home some work, but asked that it not be worked on right now. I have them do a little every day, but not stressing on it too much. Having a small farm, and fairly disorganized house, there are lots of things for them to do, besides baking while my husband & I continue to work from home (we did before this situation and will continue to afterwards due to the nature of our work.)

Anyway, for those who many need some math resources the following are a couple more courses I put up quick using templates made by others on MyOpenMath:

Introduction to Physics (Low Math Content)
Course ID: 68360
Applied & Business Calculus
Course ID: 68354
Calculus 1 & 2
Course ID: 68353
Differential Equations
Course ID: 68356
Linear Algebra
Course ID: 68358

On my “Using Digital Game-Based Learning in Online Math Courses” page, I have some additional resources that may help too. Feel free to check out my other presentations as well.

I hope these help!
