What are Performance Support Tools?
Performance Support Tools either walk you through the steps need to do the task, such as the Mail Merge Wizard in MS Word, or they can be like the tutorial in a game that helps you get started (Broadbent, 2002, p. 16).
Many application have these tools to help you quickly learn the methods used to perform basic tasks on computers. Besides the "Wizards" available in many applications, they can also be other types of forms to filled out or applications with tasks to be performed.
